With just a push of a button you can connect instantly with other contacts in your network. In other words, it helps you get the job done. The Samsung Rugby makes it easy to get where you're going. With AT&T Navigator at the helm, you'll have GPS-enabled turn-by-turn directions, maps, traffic updates and more. You'll never be lost again.
"Stick with what works" appears to be Samsung's theme with the Rugby II for AT&T. In both design and features the Rugby II, aka the SGH-A847, is nearly identical to Sammy's first Rugby phone. You'll find they both share the same rugged design and a strong focus on communication with support for AT&T's push-to-talk network. Fortunately, the Rugby II offers better call quality than its predecessor did and it adds the all-important voice-dialing feature. However, on the downside, with the Rugby II, Samsung still forces you to use a nonstandard headset jack. The Rugby II costs $99 with a two-year service agreement; if you don't want a contract, you'll pay $249 for the phone's full price.

I would recommend this to a friend!PostedJuly 9, 2011"I like the idea of a hearty near indestructible phone as I need one that isn't easy to break. This phone has outlived my last two phones it made it to about 2 years. My 1 year daughter found a way to break it though she used the speaker to cut her front teeth and now I can only get speaker phone on it. I guess they don't make baby proof phones, oh well, I like the hearty looks of this phone but still not strong enough for me."Pros: Durable, Lightweight, design is cool

Most durable cell phone I've owned

I would recommend this to a friend!PostedMay 30, 2011"I've been through several cell phones, since 1991. This is the first digital cell phone I've owned that meets all of my needs, and survives the punishment I accidently inflict on it. And the speaker is actually loud enough to use; unlike the NOKIA I owned."
Pros: Built-in speakers, Durable, good volume
The "Superman" of Phones

I would recommend this to a friend!PostedMay 23, 2011"I have owned my Rugby for 5 years now, and I will most definitely be buying another one once this one has had it. I work outside on a farm and at a zoo, and am constantly going hiking, biking, horseback riding, etc, and I am not the most careful person in the world. I had been through 3 phones in two years before I got this one. My Rugby, in particular, has been dropped (from as high as 12 feet), thrown, kicked, stepped on by horses, run over on gravel by a Gator, dropped in a creek, spent all night outside in a thunderstorm, and has been run over (open) by several cars and a tractor/trailer, among other things.
